  • Rick Santorum's campaign against Obama is harsh. The following video could be dealt with in class with the pupils. Manipulation and the power of images could be analysed. What do you think? Any other ideas?

  • The picture of my school - The most beautiful/awful thing around meThe picture of my school - The most beautiful/awful thing around me

Montblanc launched a contest few months ago. It consisted in filming 1 second of beauty. I love the idea and wanted to do the same with the pupils.

The idea is still to be determined but I had the idea to launch a pictures contest. Many options are conceivable:

    - Pupils have to take 1 picture representing their school. They have to write a text that explain the pic (or a mp3, or both) and the picture must be original and taken with a mobile phone.

    - Pupils have to take 2 pictures. One representing the most beautiful thing they know around them and One representing the most awful thing they know. They have to write or record an explanation. the pictures must be original and taken with a mobile phone.

We then expose their work in an exhibition with a vote.

What do you think? Are you in?

  • Pen Pals

    Hi guys!

Some of the French pupils would like to become pen pals with pupils from America or Scotland. Are you up to find someone to talk to? What about writing messages on the blog or even using the software SKYPE to communicate?

It would be great to respect the following rule: write your message in the foreign + the native language. What do you think?

Here is the place where you can begin to correspond. Just post a message as I did before! Have fun and make friends!!

Lauura (France) is waiting for you!!!

  • The series is so funny! It consists in parodies of various films trying to show how they should have ended. It often criticizes them but in the end it is really hilarious!

Really great to study it in class.

Here is the link and then some videos:

  • The following advert is for Google's Street View. The concept is that at the top left hand corner it displays an original genuine advert and it suggests that the hotel's ad is here misleading. The Google's ad plays on the decay which exists between the advert and reality.

Possible Xbloggtation: Could be interesting to make pupils react on Google's legitimacy to criticize another advert. Indeed, what if the hotel was really welcoming? What about the persons working hard for this hotel? What could be the consequences of Google advert? Aren't they patronizing?

    Fair advert?

  • You probably know the famous adverts for Old spice! It's incredible how it has influenced many other people. Here are some examples, the latest being the trailer of a motion picture.

Possible Xbloggtation: Just use it in class to analyse the process. Any other idea? Can you try to do your own parody?

  • Here are really funny and witty concepts: The first one is taken from Ouï Fm ads that try to blend very famous Album covers into real life. The second one consists in mixing and matching Album covers. The result is impressive and really interesting!

Possible Xbloggtation: Just do the same with covers of books or other stuffs!
